SolusOS Eveline Lifetime

SolusOS Eveline Lifetime
Please note that SolusOS Eveline is based on Debian Squeeze; as of today this is 'oldstable'
Existing installations have roughly a year of support left from the old-stable base, and we'll also keep it supported until both are EOL.

Regarding new installations

Upgrade Issue with Eveline

It appears that some users are having issues with their Eveline installations attempting to upgrade to Debian Wheezy

To avoid this, please run the following command in your terminal to lock your installation against Debian Squeeze

 find /etc/apt -name "*.list" | xargs -i{}  sudo sed -e 's/stable/squeeze/g' -i {}
 sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

SolusOS And Transparency

Some of you will still remember the early days of SolusOS. Every community member was involved in testing and feedback, and we put out ISO after ISO with sequential improvements.
It was fun, and it worked.

SolusOS 2 Alpha 7 Withdrawn

Please note that the SolusOS 2 Alpha 7 ISO has now been withdrawn from public use. The image has been removed from the server, and will be deleted on our mirrors in due course.
This has been done to prevent confusion for users, and to help us prepare for the new PiSi based independent SolusOS 2

Google Chrome And Eveline

Please note that as of Google Chrome 26, SolusOS 1 Eveline is no longer supported. In fact it is Debian 6 that has been dropped in terms of support, which naturally affects SolusOS.

This is a sign of an aging base, and there is very little we can do to help in this respect. As focus is now shifting to SolusOS 2 development, we'll ensure that within our next release cycle
our own base does not become so old so quickly
