If version 1 is working quite well, and I followed the upgrade procedure as listed here :

Is there any reason for me to do a clean install using 1.1? (other than just for having fun
)
Ikey, from the guide: Avoiding networking issues … disable the firewall.
The firewall worked before upgrading. Is there anything we can do to get it working again?
Thanks
yap.. please go to forums and ask there.. thanks.. ps issues are because of new kernel.
Since dumping ufw my network has sprung back to life with both printing and file sharing now working
At least I now know where to look if these services fail to work in the future!
Use apf-firewall
I installed SolusOS 1.0 64-bit but had overheating problems on my Acer laptop. This is nothing new – I’ve had the same experiences with Ubuntu 9.04 & 9.10, LinuxMint 9, Peppermint 2, but the latest version of LMDE did not overheat, which I had assumed was due to the newer kernel.
So I then updated to Solus 1.1 – but I’m sorry to report that the problem persists.
Please don’t think that last comment of mine was a criticism. I’m extremely impressed with SolusOS and I feel very humble that Ikey and others are prepared to donate so much time and expertise to enrich the lives of people they don’t know and are not likely to meet.
Thank you so much.
